1. The Beautiful Fall- Alicia Drake

I'm often asked about some of my favorite fashion-related books and this is something I always recommend! It's thoroughly researched, but gossip-y enough to be a pretty quick read.

Yves Saint Laurent and Karl Lagerfeld in 1970s Paris. A fairly intense drama!

2. Just Kids- Patti Smith

Avery and I bought this book quite some time ago, but I'm just getting around to reading it! Patti Smith is one of our favorite artists (enough to where we spent our recent anniversary in Central Park with a bunch of old folks to see her live ;) it was great!)

New York in the 1960s- following the relationship and evolution of Patti and Robert Mapplethorpe

I know this book sounds slightly obnoxious, maybe boring...but it's a fairly easy read! There are actually a bunch of books in the series and you can get them digitally for quite cheap on Amazon. I don't know about you, but I didn't learn a thing about money from my family! School didn't teach me either.

4. The Untethered Soul- Michael Singer

Incredible if you're in any sort of mental health rut! I try to read a bit before bed or first thing when I wake up if I'm feeling sluggish.

I read this for my women's writing course quite a while ago. I enjoyed it much more than I originally expected! Another super easy read with tons of awards.

The Islamic Revolution through a young girls eyes via black and white comic strips
